The story of a climber who takes a big fall in the Alps and his fight to return to the climb that almost killed him it said. Oh Great, you think; another wannabe Joe Simpson, just what we need. Believe me you couldn't be any more wrong if that's what you think.

Film Review: Bonington - Mountaineer

To sum up your life in just one minute for each year is pushing the limits of precis, but to achieve it for a life as significant and headline grabbing as Sir Chris Bonington's is an almost impossible task. I say almost impossible because in Bonington - Mountaineer (My Life Story) Brian Hall and Keith Partridge have produced a biopic of lasting, historical, importance.

Their goal was the previously unscaled central north-west face of Cerro Kishtwar. A mission they accomplished. A new route has been born.
