Key partners line up to increase sponsorship of Keswick Mountain Festival

Keswick Mountain Festival (KMF) has been boosted by an increase in support from key sponsors for 2017.

Salomon and Timothy Taylor’s have committed to Festival Partner status and will work with the KMF team on initiatives to enhance both the sporting and outdoor events, and the bar facilities at this year’s festival, which will run from 8-11 June.

Festival Partner Salomon will once again sponsor the KMF Trail Races, run over distances of 5K, 10K, 25K and 50K. The company will also sponsor the festival’s Hike programme and will work closely with organisers to extend the opportunities for visitors to enjoy guided walks at all levels. The KMF Salomon Trail Races have grown significantly in recent years and competitor capacity has once again increased for 2017. The KMF team and Salomon are also exploring other ways to enhance the events for both runners and spectators.

Festival Partner Timothy Taylor’s is the official bar sponsor for Keswick Mountain Festival. In 2016, the Keighley based brewer brought brand leading ale Landlord to the event, along with Boltmaker, the CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain 2014, and a 10th KMF birthday special brew. Following feedback after last year’s festival, KMF will double bar capacity and bar staff numbers in the Festival Village for 2017. Timothy Taylor’s Mountain Hut Bar will return, and will be joined by Timothy Taylor’s Lakeside Bar and the new Garden Bar. In the lead up to the event, the KMF team and Timothy Taylor’s will select a variety of cask ales and put plans in place to ensure that the pumps can meet demand at all times.

Salomon and Timothy Taylor’s were already important sponsors, but this increased level of involvement will allow us to continue improving the visitor experience during the festival. Both companies have seen how the event has grown and matured, and it is really encouraging that they want to commit additional resource to work with us and help make Keswick Mountain Festival even more memorable.”

We’ll be increasing our involvement once again to include not only the trail test track, where running product can be tried out, but also a full hike programme with guides, demo gear and inspiring speakers.

Loyal Timothy Taylor’s fans were very pleased to be able to drink their favourite pint in such beautiful surroundings and we were able to reach a new set of drinkers within our target audience who hadn’t heard of us before but really enjoyed what they tried.

“I was very impressed with the festival organisation and friendly feel of the event, so am keen to build our partnership. By increasing our involvement and the bar areas on site, we will be able to satisfy more ale drinkers. Our beer appeals to consumers who work hard and play hard and want the most out of life, which seems to be exactly the mantra of the people who attend Keswick Mountain Festival.”
