It all looks so easy on Ski Sunday, gliding effortlessly and carving turns like a computer controlled precision instrument. The reality, of course is an entirely different scenario; it's one of preparing for the next inevitable tumble as some 3 year old toddler flies past as though born with skis rather than feet.
With a 07:00 to 07:14 start time we set an alarm for 05:30, we had benefited for the falling back of the clock and wanted enough time to get ourselves prepared for the day ahead. I wanted to give myself a chance to make sure I had myself and my kit together.
A few months ago I was asked to team up and go on the OMM, I touched on it in my post Who Am I. Since then I have been doing trail running training, getting gear for it and looking in to the logistics for the event, such as nutrition.
I had to pop somewhere early this morning. The mornings have quickly got dark and it was a touch chilly to say the least. I could have taken the car but what's the point in having powerful lights and warm kit if I don't use it? Riding in hitting patches…
