Tentsile announce lightweight tree tent for 2016 Featured

Innovative UK tent designers Tentsile are set to release a new, lighter weight, version of their populat tree tents. Following the success of the Connect and Stingray models Tentsile have announced a 2 person tent weighing in a 2.2 kg (plus 1.1kg for the ratchet). The Flite comes with only one ratchet to save weight, and because of its diminutive size can be set up in more densely packed forest.

By removing two of the 3 ratchets used in the 2 mann Connect Tentsile have reduced the weight substantially, but equally important for many the Flite comes with a full flysheet as opposed to the Connect which has gaps on all 3 sides for entry and exit. It's unclear from the early images how access will be managed with the flysheet fully drawn down, but we're hoping to take one on test early in 2016.

Ratchet & straps:25mm straps - 1.5 tonne minimum breaking strength.
Maximum capacity:2 adults and their gear.

Fire Rating: Fire resistance meets USA CPAI-84 and Canadian FR16.
