OD Designs TrackStand goes to KickStarter Featured

Written by

A couple of years ago I reviewed a product from OD Designns called the TrackStand. A simple design that allowed any bike to be stored upright by the stays enabling simple fettling or cleaning. Even better they could be linked together.

Conventional bike stands are heavy, expensive and cumbersome. The TrackStand can be folded up and stored away in three simple motions. Designed for functionality, it is lightweight & compact but very sturdy. The TrackStand can be used as a single unit or can be connected to other TrackStands in order to present bikes before a race or on the shop floor.

The TrackStand supports the bike by the chain and seat stays of either side of the bike. It is fully adjustable in order to accommodate a large range of frame types and sizes, from the lightest of Track bikes to the heaviest of Down Hill Mountain Bikes.
For any cyclist, competitive or not, space is essential, conventional stands are heavy, difficult to store and not easy to use.
Made from lightweight aluminium, the TrackStand uses design rather than weight to allow complete in place.

This allows the user to make minor mechanical adjustments, clean or simply hold the bike safely.
“I came to Steve because there was nothing on the market that suited our needs, the TrackStand solves all the original problems. It’s lightweight, compact and holds the bikes sturdily and we can put a few together to present the bikes. What Steve has made does an excellent job and for our purposes is ideal” Sandy Gilchrist, Ireland Track Team Coach and Specialized Cycle Team mechanic. About Od Designs
