Since its debut in 2011, the Helium range has become a cornerstone of Peak Performance’s offering, recognised for its recognizable baffling design, ultra-lightweight construction, reliable warmth, and packable functionality. Over the past decade and a half, Helium has evolved from a single technical staple into a comprehensive range of versatile insulation pieces suited to a wide spectrum of activities and lifestyles. The Helium Nova Down Jacket represents the latest chapter in this evolution.
Blending technical performance with a refined aesthetic, the Helium Nova introduces a series of design updates within the Helium family. A relaxed, hip-length fit allows for clean layering as either an outer layer or midlayer, while raglan sleeves enhance freedom of movement and create a more modern silhouette. Subtle fabric blocking across the shoulders and pocket patches adds durability in high-wear areas.
At its core, the jacket features 700 fill power duck down insulation (90/10 down/feather), offering exceptional warmth without added weight, making it Peak Performance’s lightest and most packable down insulation piece to date. Constructed from lightweight 20D ripstop fabric (42 gsm), the jacket is both windproof and capable of repelling light rain and snow, ensuring reliable protection whether on the mountain or in everyday settings.

The Helium Nova is made from 100% recycled polyamide shell and lining, uses Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified insulation, and is produced without intentionally added PFAS, aligning with Peak Performance’s ongoing sustainability commitments.
