Founded in 1997, Altura is known for its performance apparel. Nightvision products have been a staple of after-dark cyclists for two decades, delivering weather protection and high visibility, through reflectivity and colour. The 2025 collection has been refreshed with updated designs and technology. The range delivers the characteristics on which Altura has built its reputation - clothing that performs and can cope with whatever the British weather presents. The products also incorporate crossover features for multi-use, for anyone who has an active commute or is outside during darker hours.
At the heart of the range are three waterproof jackets – the Nightvision Insulated Typhoon Jacket, Nightvision Typhoon Jacket and Nightvision Storm Jacket. All of the products are made out of waterproof, breathable fabric, with taped seams, and feature sets and fit that are designed to have broad appeal. For 2025, Altura has introduced a new recycled face fabric that incorporates a chemical-free durable water repellent treatment, delivering a high standard of weather protection while making less impact on the environment.
The top of the range Insulated Typhoon Jacket (£150) combines the waterproof outer fabric with a lightweight insulated lining to add warmth without bulk. Venting options allow for temperature control when working hard, and two zipped hand pockets and a zipped chest pocket are ideal for storing essentials. The snug fitting fixed hood enhances protection from the elements when on and off the bike, and reflective rear panels ensure great visibility. The Typhoon Jacket (£130) includes the same feature set, but with a removable hood and without the insulated lining.
The lightweight and highly breathable Storm Jacket (£100) incorporates a high visibility reflective silver print to enhance safety in low light and night-time conditions. Underarm and back vents allow the wearer to dump heat effectively when working hard, and there’s handy storage in zipped chest and rear pockets. The hoodless Storm has a soft fleece-lined collar for extra comfort in cooler weather.
The fit of all three Nightvision jackets is relaxed to allow great freedom of movement and versatility, on or off the bike. Each product is available in men’s and women’s specific versions, and in a range of bright colours.
