Following the sell-out success of their first collaboration in Autumn 2020, cold-water surf and adventure brand Finisterre have partnered with French footwear company Palladium once again for Spring 2021.
The range is headlined by a brand-new style - the PALLAFIN PAMPA OXFORD low - sustainably designed for adventures in warmer weather.
Reflecting each brand’s commitment to utilising recycled materials and cutting consumer pollution, all footwear in the collection is sustainably designed to provide miles of comfort and fun. The shoes uppers are constructed from recycled plastic bottles, soles are made from recycled rubber waste and plastic lace tips are biodegradable. All adding up to a durable range of footwear that that doesn’t cost the earth in resources or carbon footprint.
Well-known to Finisterre for their footwear’s durability, versatility and waterproof qualities before collaborating, Palladium continues to be the footwear of choice for many people working and adventuring in the brand’s coastal Cornwall home. As happy pounding the pavement as they are tackling a rugged coastal trail, the success and learnings from the inaugural collaboration provided the perfect platform to extend the range and release a new style for longer days in warmer climates.
A rebuilt classic, the PALLAFIN PAMPA OXFORD, is a low ankle iteration of the PAMPA HI RECYCLED WP+ released last year. Each pair is crafted from 5 post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, is waterproof by design and carries the collaboration’s hallmark neon orange applique details. A safety feature that nods to Finisterre’s nautical heritage.
The oxford is available in two colourways for the season, Dune and Black, with the PAMPA HI RECYCLED WP+ returning in their popular Navy / Whisky colour alongside a new-for-the-season Monument/Dark Shadow offering.
Once again, the collection conforms to industry sustainable standards including Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and the OEKO-TEX, which approves the dyeing and finishing methods during production of each shoe. A ‘recycle logo’ is featured on heel-pulls in reference to the sustainable credentials of the shoe.
