New EOG website showcases outdoor industry collaboration to the world

Written by

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) has unveiled a new website, designed to be a comprehensive source of reference for the industry and general public, and to provide better resources to the association’s 113 members.

Following months of work, www.europeanoutdoorgroup.com has been completely redesigned and now fully reflects the EOG’s vision and showcases its work in areas such as market research, responsibility and sustainability, trade events, and public affairs. The new site introduces a dedicated hub for EOG members with secure log-in, providing additional content, including detailed information from research projects such as State of Trade.

The new EOG website has been designed to showcase more effectively than before the work done directly by the association, with improved, intuitive navigation to help browsers easily find news, project information and details about forthcoming events and initiatives. New sections such as the Knowledge Hub will help a wider audience access essential information and insights about the EOG and the outdoor industry. The site also clearly flags up and provides links to the work undertaken on behalf of the sector by partner organisations such as the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) and the It’s Great Out There Coalition (IGOT). A new content management system will allow the EOG to add updates quickly when required and the site is now better optimised for viewing on all devices.

The project has been managed by EOG head of marketing and communications Dan Thompson, who comments: “The EOG has a big remit and works on some major projects for its members and the outdoor industry, from providing robust market data to tackling big issues such as single use plastics. The success of our association has been built on encouraging and coordinating effective collaboration on key topics and our new website clearly reflects that approach. The site now provides an important and user-friendly reference point, not just for visitors from within the outdoor sector, but also for anyone who wants to know more about our industry. At the same time, we have put a lot of work into building the members’ hub, where there is a lot of extra, invaluable content for our membership to access easily when they need it.”

Individuals who are the primary contacts nominated by EOG members have been sent an email with log-in details for the dedicated hub. If they have not received that information, they should contact Dan Thompson on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Other individuals at member organisations who need access to the hub should also contact Dan direct for log-in details.
