Jack Wolfskin develops exclusive Zero Tape technology and presents the Tapeless 2.0 jacket for women

Written by

Jack Wolfskin, a world leading innovator in performance apparel design, this spring introduces the Tapeless 2.0 Jacket for women.

Their revolutionary new seam design with Zero Tape - technology saves 17meters (56 feet) of seam sealing tape and makes the jacket an absolute novelty in the outdoor industry.

Traditional seam tape is the weakest component used in the production of outdoor waterproof breathable apparel. Dependent on glues, seam-sealing tape is heavier and diminishes performance by limiting breathability, mobility and durability. Through new Zero Tape sewing technology, the needle does not penetrate the waterproof breathable laminate, but only the outer fabric. The applied technology creates a continuous membrane layer in the jacket withoutany perforation and therefore no extra seam tapes are needed.

The Tapeless 2.0 Jacket is a comfortable shell designed for hiking and all outdoor adventures that delivers notably freedom of movement and durability through seams that will never leak or fail. Due to its complex cut, the jacket has no shoulder or hip seams to eliminate irritation when worn with a backpack.
