Following the submission of over 600 entries to this year’s competition across 7 categories, the panel of judges was faced with the difficult task of making the deciding selection.
Henry Iddon, Arts and Culture Officer, Kendal Mountain Festival says: It’s always exciting to see where people have been on their adventures, and how they express their experiences through photographs. This year we have had some fantastic entries reflecting a broad range of styles and approaches and we are delighted to celebrate the creativity of some very talented photographers.
Mark Brown, Visual Content Producer for Osprey says: “The Kendal Mountain Photography Competition has received some fantastic entries this year with some truly shining examples of conscious and carefully planned out shooting. That's what we like to see! To all those that took part, thank you and keep refining your craft. You're at the forefront of inspiring others to get outdoors, seek true adventure and push their limits physically, mentally and creatively.”
Now in its 11th year, this prestigious competition has cemented a reputation for discovering new talent and celebrating some of the most captivating imagery from the world of outdoor adventure.
All photos will be displayed in an exhibition at the Brewery Arts Centre over the festival weekend and will also be available to festival-goers to purchase in postcard format, a must-have takeaway from this year’s festival.
