A professional adventure photographer, with over seven years of experience including photographing in Iceland, the Scottish Highlands and the Alps, Jessie will be giving a talk titled ‘ Photo Alpinism: How to make every gram count’ at this year’s Keswick Mountain Festival to an audience of 80 people at the venue ‘The Theatre by the Lake’.

In a year jam – packed with adventures, which have included a trip to the foothills of the Himalayas, Jessie is already on her way to becoming a full time adventure photographer, including photographing professional climbers and mountaineers, as well as planning other exciting adventures in the UK and beyond.

Jessie says: ‘ Adventure Photography is a brilliant way of fusing two things I love the most- telling a story through photography and participating in outdoor sports.

‘As a trad climber, mountaineer and wild camper, photographing in the outdoors means the locations are constantly changing and present a range of varying conditions each time, which make it increasingly challenging. ‘

‘I welcome the challenge of working with some incredible people in varying, often extreme conditions and do it in a way which captures their emotion and experience in my photography. ‘

Jessie is one of the first in her family to fully embrace outdoor sports and hopes to highlight the growing number of opportunities in outdoor sports, including Trad Climbing and mountaineering opportunities for women. She also hopes to represent a wide range of people in her work through her photo project documenting women climbers.
