Following screenings across the country from London to Glasgow in April, the final showcase will take place at an intimate screening hosted by TV’s Keme Nzerem, at The Royal Geographical Society, London, on 20th October [2023]. The evening will bring a unique opportunity for the audience to watch Jenny’s film with never-before-seen footage for the last time in the UK and to take part in a face-to-face Q&A with both Jenny and the film’s award-winning director Ellie Green. Attendees will also have the chance to enter a draw to win some of the new season Montane kit. 

‘SOLO’ is a film made by Summit Fever Media Films and presented by Montane. It chronicles the challenges faced by Jenny as she ran across mountain ranges in some of the most remote and off-the-beaten-track landscapes on six continents as a solo, unsupported runner. The film follows her five-year story across the Tien Shan (Asia), the High Atlas (Africa), the Bolivian Andes (South America), the Southern Alps (Oceania), the Canadian Rockies (North America) and the Transylvanian Alps (Europe), as she learns lessons in resilience, self-esteem, bravery and more.

Jenny Tough commented: “Touring across the UK with Montane has been amazing. I really enjoyed engaging with the audiences from all the different cities where we’ve taken the film, and I am very excited for SOLO’s last screening in London. My hope is that it will keep inspiring more and more people to take on their own challenges long after the closing credits have rolled”.
