Hundreds of brands commit to exhibit at return of Outdoor

Written by

The team behind the return of the European outdoor industry’s flagship trade show in 2026 has reported a very positive response to its relaunch.

Delivered in a partnership between the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and MagNet Srl SB, Outdoor will be held alongside Outdoor and Running Business Days (ORBD) from 17-18 May, in Riva del Garda, Italy. Organisers have confirmed that almost 250 brands from across Europe have already signed up to exhibit since plans for the show were unveiled in September.

Outdoor and ORBD will be at the heart of the first European Outdoor Week (EOW), which will run from 14-19 May. Along with the show, EOW will feature a series of other events for the trade, including the second Outdoor Impact Summit, EOG Assembly, European Outdoor Awards, and Activation Days for key trade and consumer communities. In holding all of the elements together during one focused week, the EOG and MagNet have responded to the industry’s demand for fewer calendar commitments, and more effective gatherings that optimise costs and resources.

By mid-December, 244 brands from around the world had committed to exhibit at Outdoor and ORBD, with most booking space directly, rather than through distributors or subsidiaries. Names that will be present in Riva del Garda next May include AKU, Bergans, Big Agnes, Chillaz, Cotopaxi, Devold, DMM, Fenix Outdoor, Fjall Raven, Gregory, Haglofs, Houdini, Hydro Flask, Icebug, Jack Wolfskin, Jetboil, Killtec, La Sportiva, Lowa, Mammut, Marmot, Maxime, Meindl, Merrell, MILLET, Montane, Montura, Mount to Coast, Mountain Equipment, Nordisk, ORTLIEB, Osprey, Picture Organic Clothing, Polygiene, Rab, REJU, ROA, Royal Robbins, Salewa, Sea to Summit, Skylotec, Tenaya, Ternua, The North Face, Trespass, Vaude, Wild Country, YKK, and Zamberlan. In addition, partnerships have been agreed with key national associations, such as BSI Fachgruppe Outdoor (Germany), Outdoor Sports Valley (France), the Outdoor Industries Association (UK), Spain is Sport (Afydad), the Polish Outdoor Group, and the Scandinavian Outdoor Group. Talks are also progressing with associations in Korea and China.

EOG Managing Director Christian Schneidermeier comments: “This is really encouraging news and a sign that the industry is clearly mobilising behind Outdoor. When we relaunched the show and the wider European Outdoor Week, we did that believing that our sector needs and wants a truly international trade fair. The level of widespread interest so far is justifying that belief. There’s a long way to go, but I am confident that the momentum will continue to build in the first part of 2026, and that we will have a busy, vibrant and successful show in Riva del Garda next May.”

Christian Schneidermeier has been appointed director of the Europeaon Outdoor Group 002

Benedetto Sironi of MagNet adds: “Our team has been working flat out since we introduced the new concept for Outdoor and Outdoor and Running Business Days, and we’ve been delighted by the industry response sofar. Flexible options for booking space with furnished or unfurnished stands, are allowing brands to secure a package that’s perfectly tailored to their needs. This, combined with the knowledge that all visitors will have free entry, and retailers can also access free accommodation, is persuading brands across Europe to commit to the show. They know that the event will connect them to key audiences, and they don’t want to miss that opportunity.”
