Sat between the Thun and Brienz Lakes, the town of Interlaken looks small and remote on the map; a town of just 5000 people close to the centre of this mountainous country but for the adventure seeker and adrenaline junkie it's a worldwide magnet in a chocolate box setting.

It's impossible to mention the name Zermatt without thoughts immediately turning to the Matterhorn, the iconic "Toblerone mountain" that defines the town. Supported by Switzerland Tourism and Zermatt Tourism we continued our annual series of long-weekend autumn alpine adventure tours to possibly the most English of Swiss towns to see just how much fun you can pack into 3 days.

It's a strange old time for cycling. Worldwide events mean every thing is pretty much based from the front door, but you know what? You can find some adventure from your front door if you try and even though the Zoa Insulated Jacket from Albion Cycling is probably designed for something a little more wild we still managed to put it through it's paces in the post  industrial landscape of South Wales.

The Aletsch Glacier is billed as the ‘greatest glacier of the Alps’. Courtesy of Swiss Tourism, I visited in August 2020 days before Switzerland joined the quarantine list on returning to the UK – and discovered an achingly beautiful hikers’ paradise.
