If you haven't caught the film sessions of Friday morning or following the Boardman Tasker Awards there's another chance on Saturday morning but by now the big guns are starting to make an appearnace. Black Diamond's Alpine Session kicks off in the Town Hall at 9:30 and within half an hour Dave MacLeod will be taking to the stage in the main theatre. For family adventures The Meek family continue their inspirational journey with an appearance at the Leisure Centre while in the Marmot Tent Lukasz Warzecha hosts a special session of creative imagesand inspiring films of Inspiring Female Athletes.

While our Running Editor, James. will be joining the Adidas 10k trail run our attention switches to another modern legend in the shape of Ben Moon, and a whole 150 years of legends as Catherine Destivelle and David Chambre give a unique presentation about the development of free climbing in The 9th Grade: 150 years of free climbing.

By mid afternoon the "must sees" are coming thick and fast with multi award winning filmmaker Alastair Lee's Citadel: the world's first mountaineering film shot in 4k.

As Citadel ends you get just 30 minutes to make it across town to the leisure centre for what many will see as the highlight of this year's festival as Tommy Caldwell comes to Kendal. The free ascent of the Dawn Wall sent social media crazy, generated world headlines and even a message from the President. Tommy was at the eye of the storm..

From 7pm we'll be covering the Awards Ceremony, reporting live as the big winners are announced.
